Cross Roads from the West 1924

Looking east from outside what is now the Post office. The small Shop on the Right of the Picture is the "Bonbon"
Fag,s sweets and Newspapers.
I suspect that the grand looking car outside the Cross Keys Hotel is in fact the pub car,which was driven by a Chauffeur. Many years ago an old friend Jim Fishwick told me that his Father was the last Chauffeur at the Hotel,having started out in the stables.Beyond the car a row of cottages that had gone on the later photograph.
